AQUA SURE 30-Watt Ultra Violet Clarifier Unit

AQUA SURE pond UV clarifiers have been completely re-designed for 2025, to deliver even greater performance and improved serviceability. Using the very latest technology and design techniques, ensuring there is even water flow through the unit, and optimum ultraviolet light penetration. One new feature is the ease of serviceability of the AQUA SURE UV clarifier. Changing bulbs, quartz sleeves or replacing the control electric are quick and simple to do. The AQUA SURE range has also been fitted with a fault detector, visually showing if the bulb is working correctly or has gone into “rest mode” with LEDs. The AQUA SURE UV clarifiers are simple to install, with universal mounting plates allowing you to fix the unit horizontally or vertically, or at any angle you choose. The new AQUA SURE UV Clarifiers are a professional range of powerful ultraviolet units that are both economical and extremely efficient when it comes to eliminating algae in your pond. As the algae rich water passes through the UV unit, the ultraviolet light destroys the single-cell algae that cause green algae. The AQUA SURE UV Clarifiers are powerful yet economical units that have been designed using the latest techniques to ensure effective flow rates and optimum performance. These units will work alongside many different filtration systems and are easy to install using a flexible hose or rigid solvent weld pipe, making them easy to integrate within existing pipework runs. 

The AQUA SURE 30w comes with two 43mm 4 stepped hosetails (ID) of 20mm (3/4″) -25mm (1″) 32mm- (1.25″) 38mm-(1.5″) flexi hose. Also supplied are two demountable sockets (43mmID) (40mm domestic waste). 

The AQUA-SURE UV Units feature a low energy electronic that is positioned in a robust and completely watertight box with full thermal overload protection.

Fault Detector – This Ultra Violet Clarifiers has been designed with a built in Fault Indicator. If a fault occurs the visual Fault Indicator light will illuminate on the front of the Electronic Unit. If a fault is detected, the fault detector will shut the Electronic Unit down to protect the internal workings of the unit, giving no power output to the bulb.

How does a Ultra Violet Clarifiers Work? – Ultra Violet Clarifiers kill 99% of floating algae as well as other living organisms. They do not harm the beneficial bacteria that grow in filters and on rocks, etc. in your pond. They only kill the organisms that are floating in the water and that come in direct contact with the UV bulb. For Koi/Fish keeping it is best to opt for a UVC because it not only clears ‘Green Water’ but, as the term ‘Clarifier’ infers, it also Clarifies the water itself – thus helping to kill the harmful bacteria that lives in the water.

How does a Ultra Violet Clarifiers Improve Water Clarity? – Single-celled green algae, (Chlorella vulgaris) require light and nutrients to thrive. It is one sign that your pond is generally healthy, but it doesn’t do much for your overall enjoyment of viewing your Koi/fish!  The small algae cells can pass through all conventional filter, so physically filtering them out in their normal form is next to impossible. However, passing the cells through a UV disrupts their internal structure, destroying their ability to multiply and makes them clump together or ‘flocculate’. Once they have clumped together, they are big enough to be removed by your normal filtration system.
